Delapre Abbey - Northampton

30th November 2024

Delapre Abbey, an enigmatic site nestled in Northampton, is steeped in history and enveloped in tales of the paranormal. Established in the 12th century, this once-great Cistercian monastery has witnessed centuries of life and death, making it a focal point for ghostly legends and supernatural encounters.  The abbey's tumultuous past, including its role during the English Civil War and its connection to local folklore, has cemented its reputation as one of the most haunted places in the UK.

In the kitchen area we used the paranormal writing board, but didn't obtain anything of value. We did hear strange noises whilst there coming from the hallway. We conducted a spirit board in the Cellar which proved to be very interesting with names from the civil war coming through.

The library also produced some strange sounds that we couldn't debunk.

The Guildhall - Leicester

7th December 2024

During my recent exploration of the Guildhall in Leicester, I was struck by the rich history and architectural beauty that this iconic building embodies. Each photograph I took captured not only the intricate details of the structure, such as its magnificent timber beams and ornate stonework, but also the vibrant atmosphere that surrounds this historical landmark.

In the Great Hall there was a constant feeling of being watched. I spotted dark shadows on the staircase and tried to capture this on a photograph but was unable.

We captured the essence of a Monk whilst here, who had been killed with a large knife and cut across the stomach. Sadly the Monks only concern was to not get blood over the Holy Bible.

We spent time in the Judges Room, where very powerful men would pass judgement on those who had committed crimes. The women in the room felt very uneasy in here, and we believe these men were not happy that we were there.

Bishton Hall - Staffordshire

13th December 2024

Bishton Hall, an elegant Georgian mansion nestled in the heart of England, is steeped in history and legend, making it a captivating site for ghost enthusiasts and photographers alike. Over the years, numerous visitors have reported eerie encounters and sightings of apparitions within its grand halls and picturesque grounds.

Bishton Hall was cold and had been unused for a long time. It has been used as a boarding school in the past and there was evidence to suggest that. One particular bedroom had a bad feeling associated with it and we sensed something bad had happened there.

We held a sprit board session in the kitchen and had some good contact with the previous owners of the Hall. We also had a table tipping session in the Cellar which proved to ne very insightful.

Haunted Antiques Museum - Hinckley

17th January 2025

The Haunted Antiques Museum in Hinckley is a treasure trove of eerie relics, each with a story waiting to be told. The dimly lit corridors and shadowy corners create the perfect backdrop for intriguing images that bring the haunting atmosphere to life. Whether it’s the glimmer of an old doll or the flicker of candlelight reflecting off vintage furniture, each photograph taken within the museum becomes a piece of art infused with the spirit of the past, inviting onlookers to ponder the tales behind each antique.

This location has so many pieces of haunted memorabilia to explore that one night, just isn't enough!  We had many military connections come through which isn't surprising as there is a room here dedicated to war. The room also contained a photograph the had a couple of strange differences in. One nurses face was covered and another nurse was facing the wrong way. (Check out the photograph in the gallery section!)

We also felt the presence of a young girl in the Drawing Room who had a experienced an assault which caused her to have an illegal abortion.

Gallaries of Justice - Nottingham

25th January 2025

Over five floors, our building houses a Victorian courtroom, Georgian gaol, and cells that date back hundreds of years.

The museum is based in Nottingham’s former Shire Hall and County Gaol, a Grade II* listed building featuring a Victorian criminal and civil courtroom, an Edwardian police station and exhibitions exploring the fascinating history of justice, house historically significant collections of over 40,000 objects that cover the history of the British Criminal Justice System. The City of Caves explore stories of social justice within Nottingham’s largest historic sandstone caves and the country’s only underground medieval tannery.

I managed to capture and evidence, my first photograph of not one, but three apparitions! A huge place full of spirit, a very enjoyable night.

Allington Manor

7th February 2025

Original oak beams, a flagstone hall and Dutch gables give a mere glimpse of Allington Manor’s rich Lincolnshire heritage.

In a village with ties to the earliest Anglo-Saxon settlements, the site occupied by Allington Manor was first documented in King William the Conqueror’s Domesday Book.

Although nothing remains of the original dwelling, the oldest part of the current building dates back to 1450. Today, this is where you’ll find the bar and cellars which hint at the much smaller structure that stood in place of the current house.By the 16th century, the surrounding land was divided into three manors, with the current estate known as West Allington Manor. These lands passed through various transfers of ownership, including through marital alliances, acquisitions and as gifts bestowed by monarchs upon favoured gentry.

Abington Park Manor

1st March 2025

The museum was originally a manor house built at the turn of the 16th century. The Great Hall, now called the Oak Room because of its oak panelling, dates back to 1500. It was once home to William Shakespeare's granddaughter, Elizabeth Bernard née Elizabeth Hall, who was buried in 1670 in the adjacent late 12th-century church of St Peter and St Paul.

The Military Galleries at Abington Park Museum tell the story of the Northamptonshire Regiment and the Northamptonshire Yeomanry, and their engagements across the world.

In 1841 the manor was sold and its contents auctioned off. It was converted into a private lunatic asylum, called Abington Abbey Retreat, in 1845.
